Who I am

Hi, I’m Miranda—though my close family calls me Mandy—and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wife of 12 years, a mom of two amazing kids, and someone who believes life is meant to be experienced fully (preferably with good food involved). I live in Oregon now, but I’m originally from North Dakota, and my background is Native American and Puerto Rican. I’m bilingual in Spanish and earned my bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University in Liberal Studies, with a focus on Multimedia Communications and Business Administration. I love travel—especially traveling with my family—and one thing you should know about me is that I truly believe the best way to get to know a place is through its local food. If there’s something new to try, chances are I’m already curious about it.

I’m also a proud mom to a smart, witty boy and a sassy, strong special-needs girl, and that has shaped so much of who I am and what I’m passionate about. Supporting families who have children or loved ones with special needs is close to my heart—whether that means sharing real experiences with hospitals, G-tube and G/J-tube feeding, working with caregivers, or navigating accessible travel. Around here, no topic is off limits. I love reading (even if I don’t always make as much time for it as I’d like), learning, and growing—and I dream of building a successful business that supports my family financially without sacrificing precious family time.

Whether you’re here to read, learn, or see how I can help, I hope you find honesty, encouragement, and a reminder that you’re not alone.
